This piece plays with the mixing of origami and naturalistic shapes on a flat traditional substrate, the canvas. Quite a small work, but successful from my perspective.

Most recent work. Conceptual work dealing with the use of materials that I wouldn't usually be using in my art works but there you are. A simplistic piece that plays with positive and negative space and the interweaving of two completely different materials on a flat substrate.

Patterns are everywhere and to me they are all beautiful and unique like this photograph that I captured here.

These photographs show delicate petals which have fallen to the ground with the shadow of the tree from which they have fallen, what drew me to this photograph was the beautiful colours captured in the sun light against the silhouette of the trunk of the tree.

This piece was made in 2009, made as part of a drawing brief for my BVA course at AUT. I chose to base my art on the idea of identity and this is one of my conceptual pieces. It focuses on the idea of identity and identifying myself as an artist. Pretty basic but it's only a starting point.
